The officers of detectives division of Ajara Regional Main Division, as a result of searching and investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained Akaki T. (DoB 1978) for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and illegal purchase, keeping and selling of drugs in especially large quantities. Law enforcers also detained Mindia D. (DoB 1985) in Batumi for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs.
Investigation established that Mindia D. purchased marijuana from Akaki T. during the personal search of Mindia D. 1,064gr of marijuana and more marijuana in the amount of 9,405gr was found during the searching activities held in the detainee’s house.
During the searching activities held in Akaki T’s house, 5,12gr off dried marijuana was found. In another house owned by the mentioned person police detected 145,75gr of marijuana, three shotguns, one hunting rifle, AKC47 automatic firearm, AKM74 automatic weapon, three magazines and 118 bullets.
Drug test revealed that Mindia D. was under the drug influence in the moment of detention.
