The officers of Central Criminal Police Department detained previously convicted for illegal restriction of freedom -Elman G. (DoB 1965), previously convicted for armed robbery Anar G. (DoB 1985) for illegal purchase, keeping and selling of drugs in large quantities, committed by the group. The mentioned persons were detained in Karajala village, Gardabani district.
During investigative activities held on the basis of operative information, law enforcers called on the above mentioned persons to stop the car. Legal demand was ignored by Anar G. and Elman G. and attempted to leave the place and in this attempt crashed into the police vehicle.
During searching activities held in the detainees’ house and residing places owned by their relatives, law enforcers seized heroin. Investigation established that detainees sold drugs on the regular basis.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of for illegal purchase, keeping and selling of drugs in large quantities, committed by the group, for damaging other’s property and for offering resistance by the group to the police officers (article 260, Ii part, A and B, 353 II part and article 187 I part of the Criminal Code).
