The officers of the Central Criminal Police Department along with Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti police department as a result of jointly held operative-searching and investigative activities Greek citizen Aleko Zh. (DoB 1989) and Mamuka Zh. (DoB 1964) were detained for illegal purchase keeping and import of drugs in especially large quantities in vicinities of the Ortachala bus station.
During the personal search of Aleko Zh. 0,00061 gr of the drug substance and 4 pieces of the tablet containing buprenorphine drug were seized while law enforcers detected 141 pills and 23 also containing buprenorphine drug from the body of Mamuka Zh’s bicycle. Investigation established that Mamuka Zh. Imported drugs from Greece.
Drug test revealed that Aleko Zh. was under the consumer of drugs.
Investigation against Aleko Zh. is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs while investigation against Mamuka Zh. is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs and import on the territory of Georgia, article 260, VI part, sub-paragraph A and article IV, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.
