On March 23, officers of Isani-Samgori police division stopped probationer Shota P. (DoB 1990 who is for inspection on the basis of the operative information. The mentioned person did not obey rightful demand of the police and attempted to leave the place. During the attempted escape he fell and received injuries on face, arm and knee areas.
During the personal search of Shota P. law enforcers seized 0,0664 gr. of the so called bio drug.
After he was taken to the police station his health condition deteriorated owning to which ambulance crew was asked to arrive at police building and he was transferred to N1 clinical hospital.
Ata the hospital Shota P. told the doctor that he swallowed the so called “Bio” drug.
At the interrogation Shota P. stated that he found the drug and swallowed the part of it when he attempted to escape from police.
As for the sustained injuries, detainee stated that he received injuries when he tried to escape from police and states that he has no complaints against the police.
On March 29 Shota P. was accused under the article 260, III part, sub-paragraphs D and E. He was sentenced to imprisonment by the Tbilisi civil court.
Shota P. is previously convicted in 2016 for similar crime.
In case of having any complaints against police, Shota P’s case will be handed over to the prosecutor’s office for investigation.
