The officers of Rustavi police division of Kvemo Kartli police department as a result of the investigative activities held on the basis of the operative information detained previously convicted N.V. (DoB 1983) for illegal purchase, keeping and smuggling of drugs. The mentioned person was detained in vicinities of the “Red Bridge” border crossing point.
During the personal search of the detainee law enforcers seized drug substance, containing 0,18 gr of heroin. Investigation established that N.V. was smuggling drugs from the Republic of Azerbaijan. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and smuggling of drugs, articles 260, III part, sub-paragraph D and 262 III part, sub-paragraph B of the Criminal Code.
