The officers of Kvemo Kartli Division under the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of investigative activities held on the basis of the operative information detained Azerbaijani citizen in Kirachmuganlo village, Marneuli (DoB 1953, previously convicted for drug-related crime) Apik A. for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities.
During the personal search of the detainee, law enforcers seized 6 packages of drug, which according to the results of expertise weighs 34,4141gr and contains 17,2793 heroin. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities, article 260, III part, sub-paragraph “a” of the Criminal Code.
