The officers of Isani-Samgori Division of the Detectives Division of Tbilisi Police Department along with the officers of the Patrol Police Department of the MIA as a result of jointly conducted operative-searching and investigative activities detained Novraz A. (DoB: 1990) for premeditated murder.
The investigation established that the detainee early in the morning in the village Ponichala on the ground of jealousy inflicted an injury in throat with a knife to his wife Kiunai I. (DoB: 1996) and fled from the scene. Kiunai I. died in the hospital.
Law enforcers detained the accused in Tbilisi; the weapon of a crime – knife – was seized as evidence. The detainee has already pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder (Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
