The officers of Kakheti Police Department of the MIA as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained for premeditated murder G.Kh. (DoB 1988), previously convicted.
The investigation established that on August 5, in the night this year the detainee, with the purpose of theft broke in the dwelling house of his fellow villager – T.Kh. (D.o.B.: 1939) in Shakriani village, Kvareli region; the owner of the house noticed him, after which the accused inflicted the injuries with a blunt object to her head, hid her body in the pitcher in the cellar of the house, then set fire to the house to conceal the traces and fled from the scene.
Police arrested the accused in several days in Telavi.
Detainee has already pleaded guilty. Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder (article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
