The officers of the Detectives Division of Tbilisi Police Department and Imereti Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Police Department of the MIA as a result of immediate jointly held operative-searching and investigative activities detained K.L. (D.o.B.: 1991) on the fact of premeditated murder and illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearm.
The investigation established that on September 5, 2016 as a result of conflict and shooting from a firearm which took place in auto-repair shop in Kipshidze street, Vake district, Tbilisi, the detainee inflicted multiple injuries to a car mechanic R.M (DoB: 1971) and fled from the crime scene. The wounded individual died in the hospital.
The law enforcers detained K.L. in Zestaponi.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder and illegal purchaser, keeping and carrying of firearms (Articles 108 and 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
