The officers of cybercrime division of central criminal police department of MIA as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities revealed and pressed charges against Bachuki G. (Dob 1989) for the illegal access to computer system with purpose of stealing money.
Investigation revealed that detainee use to randomly choose user names of the online casino “Liderbet” and made illegal authorization by using various combination of passwords. Accused person changed passwords of illegally accessed accounts and stole appropriated cash from the accounts. Afterwards he made an agreement with unknown persons in several internet-cafes. He asked them to play with him, win and cash the money from the cashbox. Detainee illegally accessed 411 accounts registered on “Liderbet” and stole money from 22 users.
Bachuki G. already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of stealing (article 177, II part, “A” sub-paragraph of the criminal code) and for the illegal access to computer system (284 article).
