The officers of Gldani-Nadzaladevi division of Tbilisi Main division of Mia as the result of oeprative-investigative activities detained previously convicted Jony G. (Dob 1991) for armed robbery.
Investigation established that on 27 May, 2014 detainee assaulted with firearm the
service center of “Liberty Bank” located at Gldani, Tbilisi. He stole large amount of money- 4499,30 Gel, 1300 USD and 600 Euro and fled from the crime scene. The law enforcers seized firearm “AKM” type automatic weapon, 2 magazines and 65 bullets from the crime scene as evidence.
As a result of received operative information the law enforcers detained Jony G. at Tbilisi International Airport when he arrived from Minsk on 15 June. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress under the article 179 I part of the Criminal Code.
