The officers of Didube-Chughureti police division as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained 6 members of the organized group: Murman S. (DoB 1962) Beka S. (DoB 1991) previously convicted Besik Ts. (DoB 1972) Arkadi M. (DoB 1966) previously convicted Khvicha A. (DoB 1970) and Nukri A.(DoB 1982) for armed assault.
Investigation established that offenders penetrated the apartment of Naili G. located in “Dighomi Masivi” district and tied her and her children with a rope. Under the pressure of liquidation offenders appropriated jewelry worth of 200 000 USD and left the crime scene.
Members of the organized group were detained in Tbilisi, Imereti and Samegrelo regions as a result of operative-investigative activities. During the personal and searching activities held in detainees’ apartments policemen seized part of illegally appropriated jewelry.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of armed assault, illegal selling of the obtained object at previous knowledge, Non-Reporting of Crime and organizing an armed assault, articles 179, 186, 376, 25-179 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
