Central Criminal Police Department along with Mejvriskhevi police unit of Gori Regional Police Division, as a result of jointly held operative-investigative activities detained Giorgi Z. (DoB 1978) I Mejvriskhevi village for illegal selling of firearms and ammunition.
Investigation established that detainee illegally sold AK-74 automatic weapon 300 GEL.
As a result of the personal search held to the detainee, law enforcers seized money received as a result of selling firearm and ammunition.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition (article 236, II and III parts of the Criminal Code). Investigation is conducted by Criminal Police Department.
