The officers of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Qvemo Svaneti Regional Main Division of MIA, as a result of searching and investigative activities detained Zaza J. (DoB 1981) for premeditated murder.
Investigation established that on November 7 detainee inflicted multiple body injuries with a blunt object to the taxi driver Ivane R. (Dob 1954) on the basis of conflict in Tchakhati district, Kutaisi and fled from the crime scene. Due to the received traumas the victim died in the place of incident. His body was found by police officers in the vehicle several hours later.
As a result of operative-searching activities the law enforcers detained Zaza J. in Kutaisi. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder, article 108 of the Criminal Code.
