The officers of main division for the illegal circulation of narcotics of Central Criminal Police Department as a result of investigative-searching activities held on the basis of operative information detained Levan J. (DoB 1976) in Tbilisi for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in large quantities.
During the personal search of the detainee law enforcers seized 53 packages of drug which contains heroin according to the results of expertise. Policemen also seized 5 pills. Expertise results showed that pills contain methadone. Drug test revealed that Levan K. is the consumer of opium and methadone. Detainee has pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in large quantities, article 260, III part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.
