The officers of Ajara Regional Main Division as a result of investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained resident of Batumi Shmagi Sh. (DoB 1990) at Sarpi border checkpoint for illegal purchase and keeping and illegal import of drugs on the territory of Georgia.
During the personal search of the detainee law enforcers seized 11,331 gr of drug substance which according to expertise contains 4,5365 gr of heroin.
Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is I progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping and import of drugs in especially large quantities on the territory of Georgia, article 260, VI part, sub-paragraph A and article 6, IV part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.
