The officers of Achara Regional Main Division of Batumi detective division detained Givi D. (DoB 1988) for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs and illicit sowing, growing and cultivating plants containing narcotics in especially large quantities in Batumi on airport highway.
Law enforcers seized 13 packages of drugs containing 2, 9054 gr. narcotic substance as a result of personal searching of detainee. According to the expertise seized substance contains 2, 0294 heroin. As a result of searching carried out at detainees house in Batumi, the officers seized 1 plant of “Marihuana”, in the amount of 67,43 gr. The detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs and illicit sowing, growing or cultivating of plant containing narcotics in especially large quantities. (Article 260, part III, subparagraph A and Article 265, part II, subparagraph A.)
