The officers of the Central Criminal Police Department as a result of the investigative activities detained previously convicted persons: Giorgi L. (DoB 1991), Giorgi M. (DoB 1990) Vladimer M. (DoB 1984) for extortion committed in group and Mikheil J. (doB 1957) for assisting in the extortion. Investigation established that detainees extorted 55 000 GEL from the certain citizen under the threat of physical abuse.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of extortion committed in group article 181, II part, sub-paragraphs A and B and article 25-181, part II, sub-paragraph A and C envisaged by the Criminal Code.
