The officers of Isani-Samgori police division as a result of operative-investigative activities detained Levan K. (DoB 1995) in Tbilisi for illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms and explosive devices.
During the line of duty police officers noticed a young man in one of the Varketili settlements carrying a firearm wrapped in a plastic bag. Having noticed policemen young man dripped the plastic bag and attempted to run, however he was detained in the metro station. From the plastic bag police seized: hunting rifle, 2 cartridges and 166 various bullets. While searching the house of the detainee law enforcers seized 422 various bullets, 3 cartridges for AKC automatic weapon, one cut gun, one rifle, 2 hunting rifles, 400gr. of TNT 784 gr. of gunpowder and two fuses. According to the expertise the seized arms and ammunition are suitable for shooting.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms and explosive devices, article 236, II and III parts of the Criminal Code.
