The officers of Central Criminal Police Department, as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained Turkish citizen mehmet Q. (DoB 1976) at Saarpi border checkpoint.
During the personal search law enforcers seized 201 pills of subutex drug, 2 piecesof the so called “ecstasy” drugs.
According to the results of expertise the seized drug amounted to 21, 182 gr which contains 1,367 gr of amphetamine.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in large quantities and on the fact of illegal import of drugs on the territory of Georgia, article 260, III part, sub-paragraph “a” and article 262 IV part, sub-paragraph “a” of the Criminal code.
