Under the initiative of Samtskhe-Javakheti Regional Main Division and in connection with the Policemen’s Day memorials were opened in front of Samtskhe-Javakheti Regional Main Division, Ninotsminda, Akhalkalaki, Adigeni and Borjomi police buildings in memory of fallen police officers.
One of the streets in Baraleti village was named after 23 year old inspector-investigator of Akhhalkalaki police unit, Artur Berujanian who died in 2008 in the line of duty. Kindergarden located in Arali village was also named after the deceased inspector-investigator of Abastumani police, Captain Tamaz Chilingarashvili.
The ceremony along with MIA representatives was also attended by family members, relatives and friends of fallen police officers.
