As a result of investigative activities based on the operative information officers of Tbilisi Police Main Division detained US citizen Giorgi M. (DoB 1981) for illegal selling of drugs while another person- Giorgi Kh, (Dob 1981) was detained for illegal purchase and keeping of narcotics.
Investigation established that Giorgi Kh, purchased new drug “N8” from Giorgi M. As a result of the searching activities held in the apartment of Giorgi M’s mother law enforcers seized 15 plates of N8, which according to expertise contains 0,12 gr of buprenorphine. During the personal search of Giorgi Kh, policemen seized one plate of the mentioned drug, purchased from Giorgi M. which contains 0,008 gr of buprenorphine. In the course of investigation it was also revealed that Giorgi M. sold drugs on the regular basis, who arrived from the US to visit his mother.
Drug test revealed that Giorgi M. was the consumer of buprenorphine and Giorgi Kh. was marijuana-addicted person. Both of the detainees have pleaded guilty.
Investigation against Giorgi M. is in progress on the fact of illegal selling of drugs –article 260m III part, sub-paragraph A, while investigation against Giorgi Kh. is underway on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of narcotics, article 260, I part of the Criminal Code.
