The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Main Division of the MIA, as a result of operative-investigative activities, detained David Ts. – D.o.B.: 1977 – in Bandza village, Martvili region for illicit sowing, growing or cultivating of plant containing narcotics and illicit purchase, keeping, of drugs in especially a large quantity.
The law enforcers seized 9 roots of cannabis during the search of the storeroom of the detainee’s house; the expertise showed the seized substance weighed
3 kilograms and 195 grams. Also there was seized 432.30 grams of dried marijuana and 15 roots of dried cannabis weighed 1 kilo and 495 grams. The accused pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress over the fact of illicit sowing, growing or cultivating of plant containing narcotics and illicit purchase, keeping, of drugs in especially a large quantity (sub clause “a” of the 3rd part of the article 260; sub clause "a" of the 3rd part of the article 265, Criminal Code of Georgia).
