The officers of the VII Unit of the Old Tbilisi Division, Police Department of the MIA, as a result of immediate operative-investigative activities detained Giorgi A. (D.o.B.: 1999; previously convicted) for hooliganism.
The investigation established that George A. with his accompanying persons, violated the public order in the supermarket "Smart" in Rustaveli avenue, Tbilisi; the supermarket security guards called them to keep the order, but Giorgi A got exasperated at the mentioned and became aggressive. The defendant - in the vicinity of the supermarket - lightly wounded Robert Kh., Giorgi Kh. and Giorgi Ts with a cold steel while he injured Giorgi G with a blunt item and fled from the scene. All four employees of the security guard were taken to a hospital. Their health condition is stable.
Law enforcers detained Giorgi A several hours later in Ketevan Tsamebuli street, Tbilisi. Search measures are carried out to detain his accompanying persons.
The investigation is underway on the fact of hooliganism (sub clause “a” of the II part of the article 239, Criminal Code of Georgia).
