The officers of Isani-Samgori police division as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained previously convicted Giorgi K. -activist of the National Movement on the fact of stealing that took place in election campaign staff of Lekav Khabeishvili who is the candidate of the “United National Movement” for the upcoming elections.
Investigation established that late at night on May 12 Giorgi K. stole “Lenovo” made two portable laptops, two “HP” printers from the election staff office of the “United National Movement” located in Varketili and left the crime scene. Law enforcers also ascertained that stolen items were mortgaged at various pawn shops in Tbilisi. As a result of operative-searching activities police detained Giorgi K. in Khashuri, two days after the crime took place. Part of the stolen items has been seized by police as evidences.
Detainee has already pleaded guity. Investigation is in progress on the fact of stealing, article 177, II part, sub-paragraph A and B of the Criminal Code.
