The officers of the Patrol Police Department detained brothers- Giorgi D.(DoB 1990) and Beka D. (DoB 1989) for assaulting supermarket “Zgapari” located on Nutsubidze Plateau IV M/R.
Law enforcers were informed about the armed assault by means of the emergency service “112”. Upon the arrival at the place of crime, patrol police officers encountered three armed persons armed with weapons and cold steel. Members of the patrol crew called on the offenders to obey to their rightful order to hand over weapons and surrender; however they attempted the leave the place of crime. Patrol Police officers two persons son the scene, one of them is wounded in leg and the third one managed to leave the scene.
Ambulance crew rendered first aid to the wounded offender and transferred him at the hospital. At this moment his condition of health is not in danger.
Operative-investigative activities are being held by the law enforcers at the moment in order to detain the third offender.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of armed robbery, illegal purchase-keeping and carrying of firearms and resistance to the police forces, article 179, II part, sub-paragraph “B”, 236, I and II parts and article 353 of the Criminal Code.
