Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, within the frames of “Power to Trust” social campaign held educational lesson to the pupils of senior class of the First Classical Gymnasium on the topic of the fight against violence.
The aim of the meeting was to raise the awareness among pupils on various forms of violence and prevention mechanisms.
During the lesson Maka Peradze head of project management division of MIA International Relations Department discussed various forms of violence including bulling and provided pupils with detailed information on the mentioned matter, reviewed projects implemented against the domestic violence and its prevention. She made special emphasis on the importance of cooperation with police with the aim of crime prevention. In connection with the mentioned crime pupils also got acquainted with services offered by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in this regard.
The meeting continued in Q&A format. Representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Education and Science provided comprehensive answers to all questions.
The campaign is implemented all across the country within the frames of the EU-funded project “Facilitation of MIA in the Fight against Domestic Violence”. The campaign is aimed to promote the prevention of domestic violence and raise the awareness of people on existing legal mechanisms, state and other services against the mentioned crime.
