Mr. Shalva Khutsishvili, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, along with the representatives of the relevant departments of the Ministry held two-day working meeting with the experts from Canada and Great Britain; the experts shared to Georgian colleagues the experience of their countries in so-called analysis-led policing.
The meeting focused on the role of an analyst in investigative process. Analysis-led policing is the model of a contemporary police activities widely applied by the world leading law enforcement structures; such model supports the reduction of crime, its prevention as well as it increases the effectiveness of the investigation. The representatives of the relevant departments of the Ministry participating in the meeting will introduce the mentioned model in their daily activities.
Strengthening of the analytical activities and introduction of the effective system of earlier assessment of risks is one of the recommendations provided by the European Commission’s for the MIA within the frames of the visa liberalization action plan; the present working meeting will contribute to its effective implementation process.
