Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs General-Major Vakhtang Gomelauri and director of the Department for the Protection of the Strategic Pipelines Zaza Pantsulaia along other representatives of Special and Emergency Measures Center held introductory meeting with newly appointed general manager of “British Pertolium” (BP) Chris Shliter and head of BP security serevice Sandro Chitadze.
At the meeting sides discussed security issues of Baku-Tbilisi-Jeihan pipeline and outlined the exceptional importance of activities held in the this direction. At the meeting sides also reviewed security aspects of South Caucasus Pipeline Expansion („SCPX“) project.
Sides agreed to create joint working group comprised of Department for the Protection of the Strategic Pipelines of Special and Emergency Measures Center representatives of BP officials in order to coordinate the project implementation.
By the end of the meeting head of “BP Georgia” thanked Ministry representatives for productive cooperation.
