The Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania, Mr. Giedrius Puodžiūnas. The Minister has informed Mr. Puodžiūnas about accomplished and on-going reforms at the Ministry. Within the meeting, the parties have also underlined progress achieved by the Ministry during the implementation of the Visa Liberalization Action Plan.
The sides have also discussed the existing and future cooperation between Georgia and Lithuania in law enforcement.
In this regard, Mr. Mghebrishvili has underlined the importance of cooperation and sharing of experience with Lithuania and expressed hope that this partnership will further enhance in coming years.
