The basketball team “MIA Academy” owned by the Ministry of Internal Affairs became a champion of Super League 2014-2015. In the final Series of National Championship the “MIA Academy” met with last year champion Tbilisi “Dinamo” and achieved victory with the final score of 76:62.
The Final Series of Super League ended with total score 3-1. The team coached by Kote Tughushi was leading throughout the match not giving the opponent the opportunity to promote. The best players of the meeting appeared to be the captain of “Academy” Beka tsivtsivadze with 19 scores, Giorgi Tsintsadze and Beka Chikviladze got 15 scores each. At the same time Nika Metreveli scored 12 points.
It’s worth noting, that “MIA Academy” became the champion for the second time. The team was a success in 2012-2013 Super league and became the owner of Georgia Cup in 2013.
