The Public Safety Command Center 112 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report that in the city of Rustavi, in the so-called “Istanbul Bazzar” a shooting was heard. Upon receiving the notification, the representatives of the relevant departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs immediately arrived at the site.
It was established that the shooter was identified as G.O. (DoB 1988), who fired several shots on the territory of the market.
As a result of the shooting, four people were killed, including the defendant's uncle, who was employed in the mentioned market. Another person, the accused's cousin, was injured as a result of the incident, who was transferred to the medical facility.
Law enforcement officers arrested G.O. at the crime scene.
Law enforcement officers are mobilized on the site of the incident and are taking all relevant measures.
