The officers of the Central Criminal Police Department as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained five persons in Ponitchala and Gurjaani: Surami M. (DoB 1993) Russian citizen Ruslan I. (DoB 1987) Araz A. (DoB 1990) Elmanid M. (DoB 1983) and previously convicted for drug crime and currently on probation Nizadil G. (DoB 1987) for illegal purchase, keeping and selling of drugs.
During the search activities held in Surami M’s apartment, law enforcers seized 24 packages of heroin, Araz A. during the search activities held in Azar S’s house policemen also seized 22 packages of heroin, 23 packages of heroin were seized from Nizadil G’s apartmentwhile as a result of the search activities held in Ruslan I’s house policemen seized 3,9872gr of heroin and 1,5 gr of the psychotropic substance “pregabalin”.
Policemen seized 13 gr. of heroin in total.
Investigation established that all of the detainees sold drugs on the regular basis. Law enforcers also seized 0,6069gr. of drugs sold to the drug addicted citizens.
Investigation against Surami M. is in progress under the article 260, I III and IV parts, while Ruslan I is under the investigation according to the article 260 V and VI parts, article 261 I part, investigation against Araz A. is in progress under the article 260 III and IV parts, investigation against Nizadil G. is in progress under the article 260 I, III and IV parts while investigation against Elmadin M. is in progress under the article 260, III and V parts of the Criminal Code.
It should be pointed out that Ministry of Internal Affairs detained 33 drug dealers beginning from 2016 up to date.
