Patrol Police Department would like to inform citizens that in connection with Tbilisi-marathon which will be held on October 23, transport movement in certain areas of the city will be restricted from 05:00 am till 14:00 in order to preserve public order and safety.
Charity campaign will start at 10:00 from Rustaveli Avenue, namely from First Classical Gymnasium. The marathon will be held in two rounds in the capital's central streets.
In connection with the mentioned day the following streets will be prohibited from traffic movement:
Krtsanisi Square- the traffic will move to the direction of “Ortachalhesi”, left side of the River Mtkvari
Traffic movement will be restricted in vicinities of Philharmonic Concert Hall, to the direction of Rustavelli Avenue. Traffic movement will be allowed from Melikishvili Street to the direction of Kostava street and Heroes’ Square.
Crossing of King Tamar and davit the Builder Avenues will be blocked to the direction of Marjanishvili subway as well as Mikheil Tsinamdzgvrishsvili, Davit the Builder and adjacent streets.
Traffic movement will also be restricted on Freedom Square, Beginning of Pushkin Street, Rustaveli Avenue and all adjacent streets.
During the marathon drivers will be allowed to move on the following streets:
Traffic movement will be allowed from Sololaki to Asatiani, Ovanes Tumania and Gorgasalil Streets, from where traffic will continue movement on Gorgasali Street (which will be split into two parts with concrete dams) to the direction of Krtsanisi.
Vehicles moving towards Vake-Saburtalo, will be allowed on Daniel Tchonkadze street.
Vehicles moving on Griboedov Street will be able to continue movement to the direction of Philharmonic Concert Hall on partially detached Rustaveli Avenue.
Vehicles moving on Baratashvili Street will continue movement towards Rezo Tabukashsvili Street leading to “Radisson” hotel by passing Rose Revolution Square.
From Ushangi Chkheidze Street traffic will be moving on semi-detached Galaktioni Street to the direction of “Laguna Vere” on right side of River Mtkvari
In vicinities of the house of Justice the road will be split in two halves allowing cars to move to Baratashvili Street.
