Police Liaison Officers of National Crime Agency of the United Kingdom paid a three-day visit to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia on August 26th.
The representatives of the International Relations Department, the Analytical Department, Central Criminal Police Department and Border Police hold introductory meetings with the Liaison Officers Ms. Joanna Alexander and her predecessor Mr. Michael Phillips.
Ms. Joanna Alexander, who was officially appointed in August this year, got acquainted with the structure of the Ministry, the functions and competencies of different units of the Ministry, the accomplished and ongoing reforms. The parties also discussed the possibilities of cooperation on operative as well as non-operative level and future plans.
It is worth mentioning that the Liaison Officers of National Crime Agency of the United Kingdom are deployed in Istanbul, Turkey.
