The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia - Aleksandre Darakhvelidze, along with the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth - Gela Geladze, opened the annual international conference of the Association of European Police Colleges.
This year, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is hosting the event, in which representatives of the leading police educational institutions of 26 European states are taking part.
During the international conference - "Artificial intelligence in police education", representatives of police educational institutions of Germany, Italy, Ukraine, Israel, Hungary, Switzerland and the Czech Republic shared their experience of innovative approaches applied in police training.
Within the framework of the event, a meeting of the members of the governing board of the Association of European Police Colleges is scheduled, during which the elections of the new president and vice president of the association will be held. In order to enhance cooperation in the field of police education, participants of the conference will discuss future activities.
The annual international conference at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia will last 3 days and end on September 11.
The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia became a member of AEPC 17 years ago, on May 5, 2017, it was elected as a permanent member of the executive committee of the association, and from 2023 up to date, the position of the vice-president of the association is held by the rector of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia - Vakhtang Gabrichidze.
