As a result of the complex operative measures and investigative activities, the employees of the Main Division for the fight against organized crime under the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested 6 people.
Previously convicted F.A. (DoB 1967), previously convicted M.J. (DoB 1964), M.B. (DoB 1954), N.K. (DoB 1982), S.F. (DoB 1989) and B.A. (DoB 1972) are charged with promoting prostitution and providing lodging to prostitution by the group with a prior agreement.
The committed crime envisions from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that the defendants systematically provided hotel rooms for prostitution in Tbilisi, namely rooms in "Hotel" and "Titanic" hotels to women involved in prostitution, for serving clients, in exchange for certain compensation.
The investigation is being conducted under Article 254, Part III, Sub-paragraph "A" of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which refers to the promotion of prostitution by a group with prior agreement and providing lodging to prostitution.
