The officers of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of investigative activities detained K.K. (DoB 1974) for assaulting a police officer in connection with his official duties.
The committed crime envisages from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment.
The investigation has established that on November 29 of the current year, K.K. was arrested during a protest rally held by the supporters of the political party “United National Movement” in front of Tbilisi City Court. K.K. assaulted the employee of the Patrol Police Department and inflicted head injuries by a flag handle.
The Investigation is in progress under the Article 353(1), part I of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
On the same day, 4 persons were detained on the fact of offering resistance and violence against a police officer.
