In recent years significant steps have been taken to prevent and improve the quality of juvenile crime investigation, in particular:
- Hundreds of police officers have been trained in juvenile justice;
- Recommendations are being elaborated for investigators on certain aspects of juvenile crime investigation;
- Relevant spaces have been arranged in police units for juvenile interrogation;
- Various information meetings were held with school children and children from the risk groups;
- To protect children from sexual violence, draft law has been elaborated, which has already been enacted.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs, in coordination with the relevant agencies, will continue to take appropriate measures in the field of juvenile justice in order to create safe and free environment for children.
