The Ministry of Internal Affairs will host citizens in Gori within the framework of the joint ceremonial event related to the Independence Day of Georgia.
The event, organized by the government administration, will start tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. in vicinity of Gori City Council.
At the event, along with historical installations created on the theme of Georgia's Independence Day, informative and exhibition stands will be presented by various units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as special gear, equipment and a border police helicopter of the Patrol Police Department, Border Police and Emergency Situations Management Service.
Within the framework of the event, a number of thematic informative and cognitive activities for children are planned, entertainment spaces will be arranged as well:
- The concept of "smart city" will be presented by the patrol police department. Employees of the department will assist guests to perform various fun activities and provide information on road safety. Before arriving in the city, children will pass through the passport control zone, where they will be hand over a commemorative passport to the arriving guests;
- Public Safety Command Center - "112" will offer teenagers to participate in games specially created for them, from which they will learn how to act in emergency situations, and citizens who have come to the event will have the opportunity to listen to real calls received by "112" at the "Call of Life" stand;
- In the space of the Service Agency, children will have the opportunity to take part in a simulated theoretical and practical exam for the right to drive. After passing the test, they will be given a symbolic bicycle driving license. Also, a historical corner will be presented, where guests have the opportunity to learn how services of Service Agency provided today have developed over the years.
- Forensic- Criminalistics Department will arrange a simulated crime scene, where children will learn how to examine the crime scene using special tools with the help of mentor experts. Also, a chemical show will be organized;
- The Emergency Situations Management Service will organize various entertainment activities for children, including an "obstacle course", which involves overcoming various types of obstacles, and a "climbing wall" that will be installed for small guests.
- The border police will be represented with both coastal and land special equipment and gear, as well as historical photo stands;
- The Security Police will set up a simulated safe house for the little guests and offer them various cognitive activities, including fun drawing and sculpting lessons. With the help of mentors, the children will wear security police equipment and special gear;
- Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will present a simulated theoretical exam, in case of successful passing of which the guests will move to the space intended for the virtual shooting range. The academy will also present the forms of different divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
At the event, those citizens of Shida Kartli region, who demonstrated high civic responsibility and saved other people's lives will be awarded.
At 5:10 p.m., exactly at the time when Noe Jordania declared Georgia's independence in 1918, the Georgian national anthem will be performed. The event will end with an evening concert.
