Mr. Aleksandre Chikaidze, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia opened the new building of the IV Line Unit of Imereti Main Division of the Patrol Police Department in the village Gorisa, Sachkhere region.
The service of the Patrol Police Department was not available in Sachkhere, Chiatura and 120 km interval of Gomi–Sachkhere–Chiatura–Zestaponi Highway till now. With the objective of patrolling in the above mentioned territories seven patrol police vehicles were presented to the new Line Unit.
The new three-storeyed building equipped with furniture, modern computer technique and inventory necessary for the patrol police was built for the newly established IV Unit of Imereti Main Division of the Patrol Police Department near the village Gorisa, Sachkhere region. The building is adapted for the disabled persons, namely, there is a ramp at the entrance of the building.
Besides the mentioned, a new police station for the officers of the patrol police working in 24 hour regime was opened near the village Jakoeti.
Upon the end of the first stage of rebranding implemented by the Patrol Police Department in 2013 the second stage of the reforming process aiming at strategic development of the Patrol Police is actively launched.
Also, today Mr. Aleksandre Chikaidze, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia and Mr. Nugzar Sujashvili, the Head of Expert-Forensic Main Division of MIA had a tour around the Drug Test Service in Sachkhere. The mentioned service operated in Chiatura till now.
Refurbished Drug Test Office accommodated on the first floor of the police building in the center of the city was opened in Sachkhere a month ago.
The Drug Test Service detects the presence of the narcotic means including so called bio narcotics and psychotropic substances in the blood via the newest drug tests. The narcologists also conduct clinical tests to reveal drug intoxication.
Besides the mentioned the criminalsitic group in charge for dactyloscopic and habitoscopic expertise works in the place. The Forensic Service is equipped with a system connected to the joint base ensuring operative identification of a person and comparison of fingerprints and photos with the database.
