Maria Theodorou presented to the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs the new Defense Attach of the Hellenic Republic - Stefanos Lykopoulos, who has recently started working in Georgia.
Aleksandre Darakhvelidze congratulated the Defense Attach on his appointment to a new position and wished him success in his future endeavors.
Within the framework of the meeting, the parties stressed on fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the field of law enforcement and the deepening of future relations. They also discussed future prospects and expressed their readiness to actively continue future cooperation in different directions.
The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs paid special attention to the importance of placing the employees of the Coast Guard Department of the Border Police of Georgia on the vessels of the Greek Navy within the framework of the NATO maritime security operation - "Sea Guard".
At the end of the meeting, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze expressed his gratitude to the Hellenic Republic for its continuous support and the contribution to strengthening the capacity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
