Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze visited the Shaori youth camp in Racha region and held an informative meeting with the youth. Heads of various departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also took part in the meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to raise awareness among teenagers on public safety and law and the rule of law.
The representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs provided information to up to 100 young people on various relevant and interesting topics related to law and order, including trafficking, discrimination, women and domestic violence, the importance of timely cooperation with law enforcement agencies and crime prevention. Also, information was provided to the teenagers on criminal police reform and community-oriented policing system. The meeting also focused on the issues of traffic and civil safety.
The youth camp operates with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia. Attendees had the opportunity to receive answers to questions from competent persons.
