Deputy Minister of MIA Archil Talakvadze held a meeting with a Foreign Affairs Officer in the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), Office of Europe and Asia – Ms Janelle Kuroda. The Deputy Director of the International Relations Department, Head of INL Tbilisi Office and other relevant officials also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, parties discussed ongoing and implemented projects and progress achieved. Besides, parties emphasized current challenges and needs of the Ministry and made plans for future cooperation. The Deputy Minister expressed its gratitude towards INL representatives for their support and stressed the importance of the bilateral cooperation.
The Ministry had been fruitfully cooperating with INL office for several years. In the framework of the cooperation numerous projects had been accomplished between two sides on the following issues: trafficking in human beings, domestic violence, fight against illicit drugs, development of K9 unit, etc.
