Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Internal Affairs - Vakhtang Gomelauri, held a meeting with the Director General of Turkish National Police, Mahmut Demirtaş, who is paying an official visit to Georgia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the existing cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries and their planned future activities. The Minister of Internal Affairs emphasized that Georgia has maintained a long-standing and close partnership with the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Turkiye and expressed readiness to further expand the existing relations in various directions. The discussion also touched upon strengthening bilateral cooperation in combating crime and planning joint measures.
At the end of the meeting, Mahmut Demirtaş noted that for the Turkish side, deepening cooperation with the Georgian law enforcement agencies is of great importance and expressed hope that the existing ties would be further reinforced. The guest also expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Internal Affairs for the meeting and hospitality.
