Minister of Internal Affairs - Vakhtang Gomelauri, together with Prime Minister - Irakli Garibashvili and members of the government, attended the funeral service of 23 people deemed missing, that have been relocated from the occupied territory of Abkhazia.
The head of the government and ministers paid tribute to the memory of the deceased and expressed their condolences to the family members.
With the joint cooperation of the Office of the Minister of State for Reconciliation and Civic Equality and the "Red Cross" International Committee, within the framework of the Georgian-Abkhazian coordination mechanism, this time, it was possible to return 20 identified individuals’ remains to their families, including 21 militaries and 2 civilians.
