The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Vakhtang Gomelauri was vaccinated with a "booster" dose of "Pfizer" at Nikoloz Kipshidze Central University Clinic.
Along with Vakhtang Gomelauri, other employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received vaccine jabs as well.
The Minister of Internal Affairs was involved in the vaccination process as soon as the vaccine against the Corona virus was imported. Vakhtang Gomelauri, along with the other officials of the ministry and employees of various departments, received the first dose of "Sinopharm" on May 5 the current year.
In order to facilitate vaccination process for the staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, vaccination cabinets were set up at the immunization centers located in Tbilisi and the regions as soon as the vaccination campaign was launched. Immunization cabinets are equipped with appropriate medical inventory, ensuring that the vaccination process and its follow-up period are carried out in a safe environment.
Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have the opportunity to be vaccinated with Pfizer, Sinovak or Sinopharm vaccines any day of the week without prior registration.
At this stage, up to 80% of the employees of the Ministry have been vaccinated, at least with one dose.
