Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Tchikaidze has familiarized Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili with the situation in Dariali gorge after the land slide took place several days ago. Minister provided Irakli Gharibashvili with ongoing works on the site. Minister of Internal Affairs along with Prime Minister and members of the government also visited Larsi port of entry.
Leadership of Border Guard and MIA Emergency Situations Management Department is in the gorge as well.
Turkish citizen who was presumed missing in Larsi tunnel and whose body was washed ashore of the river, on the territory beyond the Georgian border, has already been transported to Georgia. At this moment the body is undergoing examination and autopsy. As for the other missing person, he is being searched by the Georgian rescuers at the moment and intensive rescue operation is underway.
