Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Archil Talakvadze and legal attache of the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation Kathleen Canning have signed new agreement between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation on cooperation in the field of investigation of the criminal cases.
The memorandum provides for active cooperation between the parties in achiving criminal justice purposes, including including the accused and criminals detection, fingerprint identification and data exchange, arrest, detention, release before the trial, the prosecution, judgment, supervision and rehabilitation, as well as the fight against terrorism, crime prevention and cooperation for the protection of human rights and freedoms.
