The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia - Vakhtang Gomelauri held the meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Hungary - Sandor Pinter, within the framework of his official visit to Hungary.
The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia - Shalva Bedoidze and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Hungary - Tamar Liluashvili, also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, parties discussed the existing bilateral law enforcement cooperation between two countries.
Within the framework of the meeting, importance of existing bilateral agreements between the Government of Georgia and the Government of Hungary in the field of law enforcement cooperation was highlighted and for their effective implementation, perspectives of future cooperation were discussed.
The parties also expressed their willingness to implement relevant measures for sharing experience and best practices between the Agencies.
Vakhtang Gomelauri provided the Hungarian colleague with the detailed information related to the ongoing and implemented reforms at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
At the end of the meeting, Vakhtang Gomelauri thanked the Minister of Internal Affairs of Hungary for his hospitality and expressed hope that the cooperation between the parties will actively continue in different directions.
